They're based in London.

They were called the Association of Charity Shops (ACS) until Autumn 2010.

They're an umbrella/co-ordinating body for charity shops.

They also deal with house-to-house collections of goods for charity shops.

Most charities which run charity shops are members of the Association (eg Oxfam).  Membership is by subscription.  The fee is based on the number of shops they operate.

The CRA is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee.

It covers all the UK (including Northern Ireland).
